Maybe I have been here too long now but every once in a while something crops up that makes me realise that there will always be some new experience available here for everyone.
Recently I was walking down Soi 4 past Nana entertainment being accosted by the usual gaggle of ladyboys and occasional girl when something made me take notice of an angel sliding up to me. She only touched my arm gently, not like the firm grabs of the others. She only made vague hand signals that I interpreted to mean that she wanted to ‒go with me”. I looked at her blankly and she produced a note book and wrote that she wanted to go with me for sex. On closer inspection I could see her mouth moving a bit but no sound and when I responded she appeared not to hear me.

I had been propositioned by a deaf mute and not even sure that she was not a ladyboy. I thought that I had seen everything before but this was a new one on me. I recently visited a Hi-so bar in Soi 33 and while I declined to pay 1400 baht bar fine and 5000 baht for long time, I did get the phone number of the girl I was interested in and have swapped a few messages since.
A few days later she called me and said she did not want to work that night and would I come there and bar fine her and she would pay me back later. I was only too happy to oblige and so I took her on a pub crawl to show her the cheaper places in soi7 and nana etc and at the end of the evening she decided that my bed was preferable to hers.
She had only been on the game for 2 weeks (confirmed from a very reliable source) and in one week has been barfined 3 times. She is a very attractive young lady and still fresh meat. She says she loves me so who am I to argue about it, I can only agree with her and make the most of it while it lasts. Have you ever wondered what a 5000 baht bar girl is like? When it is free and she loves you, then it is as good as it gets.
Thank you god. If she was not a bar girl, then I would consider having her as a GF here but as long as she still wants the occasional booty call, then…….

I am starting to find out how true this is. I had a brief relationship with a Thai Girl. It lasted about 1 month and then only on weekends. She successfully destroyed the relationship with the introduction of her son into the relationship as well as having her hand out for money all the time. Having stated my intention to sever contact with her I have been threatened with being reported to the police and with jail and deportation. I never promised to marry her. I just said ‘of course I will love you in the morning’, and in the morning I did make love again. Some of the messages from her and her family are quite venomous and threatening.
At least she was cheaper than paying for bar fines and long time. If it had not been for her whingeing, screaming spoiled brat of a son, and that I caught her out lying about her lack of money, she would have been very good to keep.
To top this all off, I got a message from my original GF here and she wants to re-ignite out relationship. The problem with her interfering relatives has been removed and now I think we have a real chance of happiness. Maybe I am a sucker for punishment but time will tell.
All this in just one week. What will next week bring? Why would you want to live anywhere else.

hi so – soi 33? not sure what u mean. hi so is usually referred to has hi so thais. no hi so thais go to 33 last time I checked. if you mean overpriced – well 33 is full of those kind of bars but girl wise – these are the same girls that exist in soi 4 but are told to where dresses, speak nice and service better. it works but I hardly find them worth the bar fines or st/lt rates they quote. I only bring this up cause people should know there is no difference. if there was then 33 would not be doing as bad as it is.
also – what do you mean by 5k baht girl?

I have been with a few 4000 baht girls (Haven’t upped it to 5000 yet. Must upgrade my aspirations), and one was great but the other ones weren’t. And yes indeed it feels it is more a matter of what they wear, everything else is the same… I didn’t feel that I was in the company of a high class hooker at any time. Perhaps not a peasant – but definitely lower middle class second tier city provenance. NOT that this has anything to do with bedroom athletics.
In fact ‘high class’ hookers do exist, I am not sure about the scene in Thailand but in Indonesia it’s based on knowing people who know people who know…. basically most movie starlets and TV ‘selebriti’ are available, but you can’t just pick them up in a bar.

Phnom Penh seems to have a disproportionate number of deaf girls on the hostess/freelancer scene. One of them approached me at Sharky Bar once and started spelling/tracing the letters “SIS” with her finger on the bar top. SIS. I would look at her with a dumb look. SIS. Dumb look. SIS. Dumb look.

Soi 33 is sort of Kabukicho W.Shinjuku Tokyo but not quite really if you know what I mean.
1400 bar fine in BKK is a farce especially if youre expecting to shell out 5k plus for the main feature plus drinks, eats and other night time expenditure. If people like spending that much get married
Pricing is shit, have had some absolute stunners from beach road pattaya 500 baht who have outshadowed the 3k+ coyote girls in terms of performance, attitude, general fun and GFE. Same with 1k freelancers soi 4.
The best thing about soi33 for those who dont want to be assed whipped in the dungeon or taken for a financial ride in the bars or teen massage parlours is the tenderloins restaurant where you can eat real sized portoins of good food. Everything else can be had cheaper and more accessable elsewhere. Livingstones OK for eats and something a little different but the area is a jap trap and is priced as such. The karaoke girls dont even lift their gaze for farang and thats their loss.
Only now visit 33 for bacchus to see my friend and play a few rounds of pool with her, lady drinks 180+ for a coke, hot dog! These visits are getting shorter as its cheaper to meet for lunch at emporium in most cases.
Regarding the write up, so true that every day is exciting and different here and every now and then something will knock you out of being jaded.

Mojo’s can be a good time. A good friend of mine nailed one of the coyotes, twice, from there but he spent upwards of 50,000 baht to do it. I’m including partial costs of airfare and hotels in the 50k+ estimate but it did take him quite a few trips to Bangkok to get her.
He had first seen her in Kiss on Soi Cowboy and offered her 20k on the spot but she refused and said she couldn’t (or was not allowed) to be barfined.

On the whole, I think soi33 is pretty toss.
Mojos is quite cool, and have some hot coyotes who are keen to hook up. Livingstones is a really weird/novelty bar, and on my visit there, the only other 2 customers in their had a combined age of 237. Lookie-Lookies is fairly nice bar, but nice in the same way a ham sandwich is ‘nice’ but I wouldn’t rush back there
By the time you’ve had your undercrackers removed and 1500baht removed from your arse to BF the farmers daughter in a 300baht dress, bought a few overpriced colas, lined her purse with some grey notes and maybe laid out for a ST hotel, your looking at the thick end of perhaps 5 large for ST. I’ve never seen anything on soi33 worth anywhere near that kind of green.
If you wanna throw 5k at a ST, go to Caesers/Poseidon and get a model, or take 2 nubile sluts from Nataree.
@Julian – I know straight from the horses mouth, that beauty pagaent girls, singers, budding TV girls et al can be had for a fee. Its all dealt with through their agent, however the kind of fees being charged (500-800,000 baht) are WAY beyond the reach of most of us.
This one girl I know, charged a Thai banker 20,000baht just to go to the airport and bank to meet some japanese stock brokers, all in the name of ‘gaining face’

I am with YP on his assessment of Mojos and have had the same experience with coyotes girls there and the band was not bad the last time I was there. Other than that, Soi 33 just is not my thing but it has a place in the Bangkok scene and some guys love the place.

Each to his own but the how much to pay is subjective and is on each individual case.
The 1000 a pop 19 yr old freelancer who needs a few thousand to blow on clothes or going clubbing in ratchada at the weekend has different motives from the 5000 a go G club or similiar girl, she would probably be saving for apartment, foreign travel, university fees, BMW with ski rack or something else or just more exclusive clubbing than the cheaper freelancer?
Both girls have the potential to make you feel a million dollars or let you down in equal measure. If you gave the freelancer 5k you would probably be “loved” to death in the bedroom! Give the more expensive girl 1k and you would end up in the klong!
The friends I do know who frequent 33 tend to be the married ones out on license as there is less pushing for barfine or lady drinks and the girls are supposedly polite and well dressed, others like to be seen with a definate hotty out and about to increase their face.
In places like lookie lookie the girls will get meals to your table from nearby restaurants and the emphasis tends to be less on the sex and more on the “me care for you” hostess scenario. This thing would be attractive to the older and well heeled type on a short holiday as others ie ex-pat types would have wives to do the caring.
Mojos is cool for the dancers but you would need luck and deep pockets to go further and have a takeaway.
Girls come in all shapes and sizes the deaf mute is something different if you have to write down what you would like to do in the sack, crazy but brilliant
Like the little one at lollipop (nana) theres always something different out there girl wise and I give thanks for the fact that these girls are there working to look after most of us whilst we are in Thailand and I hope that I can make a financial difference to their lives in some small way for pleasures received.
At the end of the day its all about your $$$ and how much value you can squeeze out of it. Great if your female companion can have a good time too in the process, all about balance.

There are some women who have that indefinable thing that we might as well call the “IT” factor. These women may not be the best looking or have the best figures but they have some sort of animal magnetism that will attract all men within range and make them forget any other women are near.
