I've been there a few times. Nothing special, IMHO. The management I found rather arrogant and unfriendly. Irritating enough that I decided not to go back. Staff was okay though. Via Vai? I recall it being pretty good, but it was on a weekday. Can't remember how much it cost; maybe it was around 250 Baht. La Gritta (Soi 19) used to do a great lunch buffet for a reasonable price, but they've jacked up the price and no longer give free ice water. This became an issue after I downed the remains of my Diet Coke and realized I forgot to take some pills... I asked for a glass of water and the waitress informed me that I would have to buy a bottle of over priced mineral water. I mentioned that I'd already drank a coke and that I've finished my meal... With much huffing and puffing, she brought me a glass of water. Later that week, at a networking event, I met the General Manager of the Amari Group (owners of La Gritta) and asked him what was up with the discontinued free water. He told me, "We're in the business of making money - customers can pay for the water..." Haven't been back to La Gritta since and hope the Dutch General Manager of the Amari Group finds himself in the middle of the Sahara without any complimentary water.
