Not only can we show the speech, we can also translate it into Thai, Swedish, American, Australian and if we’re drunk enough… Scottish.

The Welsh… erm… I’ll give it a go. It’s not often I break out into a Tom Jones dialect, but it’s not unusual. ;)

@Nurseron – I was bracing myself for something along the lines of ‘Where do you think santa will be emptying his sack’. You missed it. Shame

@ Fender – Good start. Like that. Now, if only I had the dry wit, and cutting humour to find a way to shoehorn ‘jingle balls’ in to a homo erotic quip……

I remember watching some lame family sit-com in the 90′s. New Years was the setting and the long lost uncle shows up (in the show). Grumbles something about spending Christmas eve in Bangkok with his “Girlfriends”. It raised an eyebrow then and I really had no idea yet.

I know you guys got some good Christmas in Bangkok short stories… How Low do they go???

To the ‘Elderly Couple’ from Lancashire.

Thank- you for the calendar you sent the Big Mango and for your kind words.
We were rather surprised that nice ‘mature’ people read the blog or would actually want to be in the same room as YP, let alone speak with him!

Anyway – hope to see you on your next visit.

YP has informed me that he will pick up the bill for a meal and drinks at the Mango next time!

  21. Hunch says:

@Fender – yes the mustard shirt photo works, is it Belushi?

And ’twas early christmas morn, Santa came down Cascade’s chimney. In his sack there only remain’d a small child’s football and ’twasnt long before he was playing in the aisles and ‘dribbling down the flanks’. Outside, later, I thought I spied Rudolf, tied up. I patted his red ‘nose’, too late to realise it was sans-breeches Santa bending over being sick….Marc Almond-style*

*uk readers reference only (unless someone else wants to tell the sordid tale….)

  22. FUMF says:

Looking up I’m sure I spied “Sandu” in the sky. Is that a new sleigh he has? Oh – it’s a windowless van. If we called it a surprise van do you think more people would want to take a ride with Sandu in the sky? After all, rape is the new missionary….

I heard that Sandu in the sky is sponsoring a raffle at Cascades. First prize is an all expenses trip to famous Penn State with an intimate tour of all the gym facilities… including showers.

And a Merry Christmas to you too Mr Bond!

All the staff at the Mango wish everyone a Happy Christmas. Well, to be honest, most of them probably couldn’t give a rats about it. But ply them with a few drinks and I am sure they will.

    See you all soon!
