Wow. I always like this dude – especially in the Kill Bill series.

At 20.10, from the BBC report, “Thai police told the BBC the 72-year-old was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and body on Thursday morning.”
Twenty minutes earlier the same article said, “Thai police told the BBC the 72-year-old was found by a hotel maid sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and genitals on Thursday morning.”

u.k.news BBC……..says he was found dead in his wardrobe……….dont forget his wardrobe would have been a walk-in one…………so he could have had a heart attack in there, just another room.

@elvis….yeah, tying a rope around your neck and nads could induce a heart attack at 72, irrespective of room. Has a bit of the michael hutchences about it…maybe something kinky going on there with the old kung fu maestro? Who tops themselves at 72…not far off a dignified exit anyway…why bother? Poor grasshopper…great series that was.

Reports saying he was found hanging in a wardrobe area with binding to his neck and other parts of his body.
At 72 not sure if this would be a sex game gone wrong ie auto asphixiation but somethings not right with this one if the reports are to be believed considering the presses knack for getting things wrong, out of proportion etc. worth waiting to see what comes out of the police investigaton?
Whatever happens to pass regarding the case, RIP David.

yea wtf? I’m not the type but if I was suicidal I would think arriving in the LOS would be a good reason to soldier on… At least I would try to fuck myself to death with a roomful of tarts instead of jerk myself off to death hanging in the frickin closet. Oh well RIP David.

Found curled in the closet, naked… Hand tied together, a rope from hands to neck, a lacet tied from neck to penis… And a footstep on the bed that isn’t the same size as his shoes… strange details indeed.

Nasty and very high profile, apparantly no one was seen leaving the room on the CCTV and Davids stuff was still there in the room so no robbery motive unless they just took cash or it was just a sex game gone wrong.
As others rightly have commented a very strange scenario considering he was naked and seemingly could not have tied himself up the way he was found and why would anyone want to be found that way?
If he was into the kinky stuff he kept it private for his entire adult life and there are some very well known dungeons in Bangkok that know how to NOT actually kill people in their sex games, he wasnt short of a million or two so price would have been no object.
A very famous addition to the many unexplained deaths of foreigners in L/O/S put down as suicide.

American actor David Carradine might have died from auto-erotic asphyxiation, Central Institute of Forensic Science (CIFS) director Porntip Rojanasunan said on Friday morning.
The 72-year-old actor’s body was found inside a closet in his suite in Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel about 11am on Thursday.
One end of a shoelace was tied around his penis and the other end fastened around his neck, while his hands were bound with a cord which was also tied around his neck.
He could have been be trying auto-erotic asphyxiation and may have suffocated during the act, Kunying Porntip said.
She said other evidence supporting this theory included a penis shrine inside his room.
She did not believe anyone else was involved, but admitted she could not be 100 per cent sure.
Carradine arrived in Bangkok a few days ago to star in a new movie, Strand.

It is clear that his death points to auto-erotic asphyxiation, however that doesn’t mean that is what happened to him. You would think if he needed such a thing his wife or even the neverending supply of prostitutes would have been able to assist him. He never stuck me as a careless man, so why even risk being found that way by yourself. It just doesn’t add up to me, I don’t believe he was uncovering any ancient societies secrets either… will be interesting if they have him examined in the U.S. what will be found.
