Katechon I don’t think it’s inane at all. I think it depicts pretty well how the expectations of a girl (or guy) can really get out of hand, and in the worst situations it can play on the mental stability of somebody who is already vulnerable.
This is my experience in only a short time here. I don’t know exactly what their expectations are, but Farang, and particularly younger, professional, employed and upwardly mobile farang are the holy grail.
Girls expectations and th way they read things are magnified exponentially because they see a good catch. I met a stunning girl in Myanmar this week, a professional, well educated in the US, who most likely would have married me on the spot if it meant she could get the hell out of Burma, and provide options for her family. I’ll couldn’t face taking advantage of the obvious desperation, but we will keep in touch, as I’ll be back there for work regularly.
Hi-So comes in all forms but to find a “good” man, who can open a world of travel, security, expensive handbags means the world. Ok so again I don’t now the motivation precisely, but I’ve seen in in practice.

I think most of us have received crazy emails, SMS’s and or calls and so many of the above lines are so familiar.
One of my all time favorite lines from a psycho Thai girl is “go to the Hell” which made me laugh when I read it above. The reason I was unable to respond to any of your emails, is because I went to Cambodia to do a Visa Run for 3 days (the reason why i was unable to respond). I just got back Cambodia tonight. I didn’t take my Thai cell phone as I have a US one as well, just for emergencies.
Switched it on and their was a text from a french chic I have been screwing, but told her I didn’t want to see her.
Like “hey I want to hang out the window while you f&^k my ass so the guard below can see me scream”, that and the fact that she’s the worst kisser in the world.
