Happy Birthday USA
Posted by sideshowBOB | Blog, Reader Submissions | Posted on July 4th, 2009
Party tonight folks. More details here. It is the 4th and it may only real mean something to the Americans but either way it is an excuse to party.
So come on down to the Mango for some grub, some Jim Beam and some fun.
I will let the Asian Badger explain the photo. AB – thanks for the shout out. It means a bunch to us here.
Happy 4th folks. Safe partying.

Ill be there in just a while, as I am having a bad hair day.
Looking forward to the pancakes!

Ah, another fine evening hosted by the BMB boys:
– Pancakes were fantastic. (Have not had such tasty flap jacks since the Chocolate Chip ones at the Pancake House back Home)
– Jim Beam Black was flowing nicely and I clearly had more than my share of it, however the pancakes were a perfect time-release addition that had me buzzin’ for hours later.
– Both the Jim Beam girls were hot. The taller one will be visiting me in Phuket as she has asked me to ‘show her around’. I definitely plan on giving her a show.
– YP’s birthday was clearly a ‘splash’ (yes not smash). (ask him to explain) Cake was tasty, and I think we are all fortunate that he only dropped his pants on one occasion last night.
Thanks again, and sorry I cannot be there on the 11th, as i am playing host to a girl from Siri Ratcha. I’ll be back next month for more fun. Now I am off to Pattaya to see what kind of trouble PG can get me into.

@Thanks IP and nice job on the promo girls. Getting the tall one a little tipsy yielded nice results. She was very shy early on but not at the end. Good luck with the Ghost.

Sounds like a fun party, unfortunately I was unable to attend due to not being in Thailand and lacking a plausible excuse to return at short notice. However I would like to take this opportunity to say it was nice being able to find the Mango at its new location a couple of weeks ago (I was somewhat disorientated to find it had apparently become a short time hotel) and the welcome from the staff was much more enthusiastic than I was anticipating (actually I had paid the local tuktuk drivers a small retainer to block the subsoi if necessary while a phalanx of ladyboys was on hand for added protection). Anyway it turns out it is possible to render a Thai girl working in a Soi 4 bar speechless, at least for a while, and I was able to leave the country a week or so later with my balls intact.
(I’d also like to point out for the benefit of casual readers and potential future visitors that despite all this dodgily metrosexual talk in recent posts of hair mousse, crimping irons, “nipple clamps, a sock made of silk to keep his balls from touching other balls, hair wax, small tight t-shirts, marmite, butt plugs” etc. etc. that if anything of this nature going on, it is being handled very discretely – presumably in the upstairs bathroom, which is surprisingly spacious – and will not in any way distress what I can only term as “regular” customers).

I can’t put my finger on it but something about your statement above strikes me as being a little apologetic,

this is astounding!
NEW YORK (July 4) – Joey Chestnut chomped down a record 68 hot dogs,in 10 minutes, capturing his third straight July Fourth hot-dog eating contest at Coney Island, an annual showcase for flamboyant hot dogging contestants eager to show they really are what they eat.
Chestnut of San Jose, Calif., hoisted the American flag and then stood proudly like an Olympic athlete as “The Star-Spangled Banner” played following his 68 to 64½ dog victory over his archrival, six-time titleholder Takeru Kobayashi.

Nice one from AB – can’t see the airfreighted ‘roach’ anywhere in the picture – is he getting his own series?

Pic taken at the annual Milwaukee fireworks on the lakefront. A spectacular show, by the way. Anyway, some friends of mine and I reserved a private tabled at a venue right on the lake.
When they asked me if I wanted to reserve it under my name, I said “no”, book it under “The Big Mango”, hence the little name plate on our table.
BTW, there was some young Thai chick there with her husband. If she wasn’t right out of the Suk/Soi bars, it sure looked like it.

Edit…I have a feeling “The Big Mango” will make an appearance at the Milwaukee airshow in a few weeks. Fast, loud, jets over the water give me happy memories. Stay tuned for more photos.
@Doc. Oh man, the roach got nuke-stomped by the poor little farang girl next to me at the post office…Still LMAO at that scene.
