Three Perfect Days in Pattaya – Part 4 by Arthur

Part 1 :: Part 2 :: Part 3

What to do with a cute young Pattaya bargirl on a hot day in rainy season? I considered the obvious: stay in bed all day and boom-sing. But that was a waste of a lovely day. I thought Too could use a minor service and touch-up so I took her to the salon downstairs. She got a wash, blow-dry and manicure while I went to look for strong coffee.

I didn’t fancy stewing in my own juices on the beach or any of the other options within easy walking distance. So I called Avis and rented a car for the day. Around 1,000B for something that was a like a Toyota Corolla. Too was surprised when they delivered the car and I told her we were taking a drive. I’ve only got vague knowledge of Chonburi province outside Pattaya but decided to take a trip down to Jomtien and see the beach. On the way we stopped at her bar so she could change her clothes and I paid another day barfine for her.

A couple of years ago some friends took me to eat seafood on the beach so this seemed like a good start. My memories of Jomtien are of a small and sleepy place. How it has changed! It seemed more like driving on the Costa del Sol in Spain with all the condo developments. They must be stretching their natural resources for water, power and so on. Perhaps a better comparison is with Florida: I understand it is full of retirees.

The beach was almost deserted for a long way and I found the area where I’d eaten before so we stopped for an early lunch. Too was a happy girl, but she said too many ?up to you”s for my preference. I like a companion with some opinions and preferences, but I know that’s asking a bit much. I asked Too about her family and she told me about her daughter and how her family takes care of her while she is working. Unusually her mother knows exactly what she and her aunt are doing in Pattaya. The main thing is she can make enough money for the family and they’re proud of her for that.

Since we had the car I got the idea in my head that we could go and see her family. Too hadn’t seen her kid for weeks. Too was concerned that I would not like their home as it is very poor. I reassured her that I’d probably seen worse and it was no big deal. I wasn’t planning on staying the night. I know conventional wisdom says it is not a good idea to visit a Thai girl’s family unless you’re in a serious relationship and close to marriage. Too insisted I was the first farang she’d taken to her home but promised that it would not be a big deal.

So Too directed me onto the main road and we drove north to Laem Chabang. Traffic wasn’t bad and the little Toyota was fun to drive. Too said if she goes home it is two buses and a motorcycle taxi ride – about two hours. We got there in less than an hour. On the way we stopped at Big C and filled the trunk with presents for the family. Too seemed most interested in practical things like detergent, milk and toilet paper. We got a load of candy and soft drinks. The only non-trivial item was a garishly decorated cake. I figured this was all big face for Too at a small cost.

Too’s family home is the typical Thai urban single story shop house where an extended family lives and attempts to make money selling sundries to truck drivers who pass by. The biggest problem is that they stop right outside, leave their engines running and belch exhaust fumes right into their living quarters. Too phoned ahead so our arrival was not a surprise. She introduced me to her mother (father is not around of course) and so many family members I lost track. She has a 16 year old niece whom Too said wants to go to Pattaya as soon as she can.

I smiled a lot, drank and ate everything they offered me and took a load of photos. Her mother is eight years younger than me. Very friendly, maybe a bit too much so while Too was taking care of her kid. The kid put on a big temper tantrum when it came time to leave (my smile got a bit strained after a couple of hours) and Too herself was in tears when we got back in the car. She didn’t say so explicitly but I think she wanted me to leave her at home for the night and for me to go back to Pattaya alone. My charity didn’t extend that far.

On the way back to Pattaya we were stopped by the police. I showed the officer them my International Driver’s License which is presented in several languages but not in Thai. It looked official enough to satisfy him. That was good for me – it expired a few months ago. I think he wanted to fine me for speeding but when it was clear I could not speak Thai he waved me on. I am sure if I had replied to him in Thai it would have been a different matter.

From my point of view the family visit was not an unqualified success. Too seemed deflated and exhausted for the rest of the day. We got back to the hotel and she wanted to sleep. That was it apart from a trip out for dinner and another foot massage. Perhaps it was something that happened at home I wasn’t aware of. I guess I’ll never know. Too did her professional duty to take care of me in bed but it was nothing like the fun and enthusiasm of the first night. She was going through the motions and no more.

Next morning I gave her a not-particularly generous tip and let her go back to her bar. Next trip I will look for her and see how she is doing but I have no desire to facilitate another family reunion. She’s a sweet girl and not yet corrupted by Soi Six life, but not for much longer I fear.

Postscript: I looked for my Energizer Sex Bunny on my next visit to Soi Six. She’d moved on from Northumberland Arms bar and I wasn’t able to find her.

    She may not have been into you after seeing her family, but I’m sure she’s grateful to have had the opportunity to shower her family some of the basics. They won’t forget the kind farang who went out of his way to so she could visit her family.
    The gesture helps to put a kind face on us foreigners in the family’s eyes.

    I suppose it was a nice thing to do, but perhaps not the best tactic that a man looking for action could have employed. I read something about being careful of what sort of questions you ask a stripper/woman/anything if you want to see her in an erotic light. Having feelings for her (most of them would not be working in that capacity unless financial need drove them to it) and her family (especially knowing details about her sprog) can really affect your mood. Well, clearly it didn’t affect yours, but it affected hers. I guess the moral of this story (if there are morals in a story of sex and debauchery) is “keep your distance”.

    After 7 years of being in the UK, I thought that “snog” means pull. Does the aforementioned “Soi Sex” only extend to tongues down throats?
