editors intro: There has been some discussion on this series of posts and I wanted to clarify a few things. This guide is probably much more wide than it is deep. We wanted to do a broad overview of all the ways one might party in Bangkok and since it is a vast city with so many options it is tough to accurately cover the whole scene well. So the idea was to let the community help build the guide by commenting and providing feedback as much as possible. Then we would re-incorporate this material into the guide. Clearly this is a work in progress and begs for a more customized technical solution than just posts with comments but we wanted to start somewhere. A good example of community feedback might be this comment or this comment. Ultimately I believe a continuously updated community powered review site is the ticket since there is no way for one or two people to keep up on the scene in BKK – it is just too big plus our opinions are not always shared with others. I hope this guide will continue to evolve and we appreciate all the readers and commenters. Thanks!

Take-Out Mens Clubs
Not sure how to categorize Pegasus – it really is one of a kind. Not quite massage parlor, not quite a G-club, it is located in the same building complex as Narcissus disco (Sukhumvit Soi 23 area). It offers ladies in a very up-scale lounge environment, with rooms available, but mostly for take-out to your own place. But be warned that Pegasus can be a very expensive night out, with membership available.
Magic on Soi 39 is mostly a massage parlor, but also offers take-out service.
Special P4P Places
There are a number of other P4P or alternative bars/clubs in Bangkok that need to be mentioned.
Eden – on Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 is a legend in Bangkok. There is a huge amount of content on the Internet on this small bar, which offers a true ?porn star experience” with multiple girls. The girls are not the greatest looking in Bangkok, but that is not what Eden is all about. Just a note – couples are also welcome (if the girl is bisexual), and I have taken 3 different ladies with me to Eden in the past for very good times.
Sisters – is a fairly new club on Patpong II that seems to be trying to emulate Eden, but so far is failing miserably.
Demonias – on Sukhumvit Soi 33 is an S&M bar/club
Barbars – on Patpong II is another S&M bar/club

There are a few BJ bars in Bangkok (bars where you can receive a blow job as you drink):
Lolita’s – is easily the best, but is a little hard to find. It is at the end of a small alley about 100 meters down from Sukhumvit on Soi 8 on the right side. There is also now a Lolita’s in Patpong.
Star Of Light – is on Patpong II
Kangaroo – is another BJ bar in Patpong
For the ladies, there are a number of interesting options now in Bangkok too.
For lesbian or bisexual girls:
Zeta – a girls only club on RCA
Vega – an all girl hangout on Lang Suan near Lumpini
Lesla – hosts a party for girls every Saturday night at Chit Chat Pub Soi 85, 4 Choke Chai 4 off from Lad Prao Rd (near Lad Prao hospital and Kasetsart Uni). Girls I know that have been tell me this is huge, with sometimes over 500 girls partying hard
Soi 4 in Silom (next to Patpong) is a gay night zone in Bangkok, but spies tell me that some bisexual girls like to hang out at places like Speed, Balcony and Telephone on weekend nights.
Rumor has it that there are also gigolo services available for women in some places in Bangkok (enormously popular with Japanese visitors so I have been told). These details are hard to verify, but these seem to be locations for women to find the man of their dreams (at least for a few hours):
Knight Sky Restaurant/Bar on Ratchada Soi 13. Go down the soi and turn left.
Shake 77 Pub in the Asoke-Dindaeng area
Club 111 on Ratchada

Short-Time Hotels
Once you have found your partner (or partners) in any of the P4P bars and clubs, you have the option of taking them back to your room, or using the services of a short time hotel. Even for long-term residents of Bangkok, short time hotels serve a very useful purpose; you might have another partner at your home, or you may not want your new found friend to know where you live or how you live. Many guys I know always choose a short time hotel for the first few sessions as they get to know and trust the girl.
Penthouse Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11 (near Qbar)
Playboy (PB) Hotel is on the ?Green Route” short cut to avoid the Sukhumvit traffic between Sukhumvit Soi 3 and Soi 11
Asoke Place is just outside Cowboy on Sukhumvit Soi 21
Lucky Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 26
Peep Inn on Sukhumvit Soi 33
Top floor of Nana Plaza (3rd floor on left as you walk in next to Carnival bar and top floor over by Cascade. Nana has 2 short time hotels. Pick the shortest route to limit the walk of shame.)
Star Inn on Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 (near Eden)
Siam Hotel next to Mona Lisa on New Petchburi (just East of Asoke junction)
Note: Several bars in Cowboy have rooms available upstairs (e.g. Déjà vu and Suzie Wong).
In the next parts we will explore the regular night scene, but this also includes a number of P4P options, since freelance girls work the scene even in some of the best night clubs in the city.

Lolita’s is the second-best BJ bar in Bangkok, after the Star of Light. That’s judging purely on technique – obviously some find the Star a little… daunting. Lolita’s Patpong is now closed btw – I think this has already been covered.
Nana Plaza has at least 3 short-time hotels, not 2, and Mandarin bar may or may not also have short-time rooms available upstairs (Some girls say it does, others deny it completely. Upstairs has been closed recently so maybe that has something to do with it)…
All good stuff though. This is starting to get rather too upmarket for me, but keep them coming

come on BBB – u need to start trolling the malls. ask out someone who works at say a nice clothing store and then keep track of how long it takes to get laid. This should be tougher than the foot massage girl.

Nana Plaza:
ST hotel 1: 2nd floor (3rd to septics) – in between Cascade and Carnival.
ST hotel 2: 2nd floor again, turn right out of Hollywood and it’s past the stairwell, next door to the beauty salon, above Farang Connection and Rainbow 3.
ST hotel 3: 4th floor(!) – go to the doorway of Erotica, but go up the small staircase instead of going into the bar. Past the door into Erotica’s (closed?) second floor, keep going straight ahead and don’t look down.

To be clear with sth 3 and sth 4 I don’t think they are available for public use but can only be used from within their bars. I was offered to use the ones in the mandarin but did not partake but was told I could. Others say u can’t. Who knows. I don’t think the ones as Erotica are being used again?

I’ve used the one above Erotica several times with girls from other bars (never actually barfined anyone from Erotica). I was under the impression that it was a separately-run place, although it’s very-well hidden. Haven’t been up there for a while though…

ArtTv: In the short time ‘hotels’ within Nana Entertainment Plaza itself they are about 300bht an hour for a very basic room. The beds are big and not that bad (in other places, such as one I used recently in Pattaya, the bed was impossibly hard). The room had a shower and towels and soap.

Its amazing! There are so many little hideaways at Nana Plaza.
Next to Hog’s Breath was a room where this guy sold alcohol to the girls at a fair price (not the bar fees).
I’ve heard about the short time rooms at Nana, was offered to go there, but never been.

Smitty, will surely like to read about ur night out. In most articles here I find sopmething I didnt know before, just as the newest one “Places to avoid #2″ It’s often true that despite previous theoretical knowledge you can still make exatcly that mistake that ur knowledge should have prevented you from. But I still value any kind of information about Thailands night life to maybe at least avoid some mistakes or frustrations in the future. Besides this, most articles also being really fun to read.
My newest experience: Met a young, obviously not so experienced girl in the spice club some days ago. She was there with her friend, sister, aunt.. whatever.. The “friend” suggested I take them home both, but I just wanted the fresh meat
I made that clear, both walked out with me and the “friend” started talking about money outside: She said due to her young age (Iassaume around 21) and her being new to the scene, I should pay 3000 Baht. My highest offer was 1500, which she didnt accept. The young girl was not listening to all this since she stood some distance apart. I think that “friend” acted like a pimp and would probably have kept at least half of the 3000 Baht for herself which she probably expected me to give her and not that younger girl. Whatever, I went back to the Spice-Club and picked up a nice and friendly freelancer for 1500. She wasnt best of all in bed, but absolutely ok and she stayed till noon next day, was 100% ok for me.
So this was rthe first time for me to experience that “friends” of a girl can also act as pimps, very intersting.

To add to the Nana “nooks”, I was just on the third floor last night and between Cascade and Hollywood by the staircase you can now get some decent thai food, cigs, candy and a few other things.
Over a year ago these little food stands and mini Convenient stores were taking over the walkways of Nana and were cleared at one point. Seems they are making there way back. You can also get food by Rainbow 4 and early in the evening by DC-10. Of course, the Mango has some grub too.

happened to me quite a few times that a friend/sister/cousin/aunt played the role of the mamasan… Especially with freelancers one meets in a (normal) club, there is a moment when it has to be said that the girl actually is aiming at a financial transaction. As far as many thais do not really like to bring up such topics by their own, they often prefer it when a friend does it for them…

Ended up in Patpong last night for some strange reason with a friend. Went into a bar, where i thought they were all ladyboys,until I spotted the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. But Yes, it was still a ladyboy. My friend wanted to double on her/him, but I declined. I culd still not f**k a boy.

Note on Eden.. on my second visit to BK , I had decided to see what all the hype was about this place… Seemed ok when went in and picked the best looking girl I could ( not much quality) and It was suggested to let her pick the other one. She picked a rather fat girl , but being a little naive and not wanting to be rude I let it go.. They took me to room.. Then it started , the incessant , non stop yapping in Thai between the girls.. The better looking one did hardly anything , I think she just picked the other cause she would do all the work for her…. She did not stop yakking and looking at herself in the mirror.
The other one showered me , undressed me etc.. while the good one just would not shut up and preen herself…. It really pissed me off and should have just walked out but being horny did the deed anyway.. and that too was terrible, very mechanical and not at all what I had heard about the place.. anyway I am a nice bloke and even f..ing tipped them a little… I emailed the boss when I got back to my hotel, not for a refund or anything but because I feel he would want to know what shit service he had provided. He emailed back and nicely offered a free visit.. I said I would do that on my next trip..6 months later i emailed him to say i was visiting again and he said my free visit was all OK.. I went in and explained to the French guy there what had transpired before and what had been said on line and he kinda treated me like second class.. asking all kinds of questions.. and walking away from me constantly to do one thing or another.. I felt embarrassed and belittled so just walked out.. the same girls were there too so I felt worse… I know it is a very busy place and they will always have customers so why would they give a toss about an unhappy customer so I would just like to warn any one not happy with anything there is to walk out or complain on the spot.. best still don’t go. They are rude and money hungry.. I had a fantastic time at Darling and will post on that later…

Always wondered if Eden would be amazing or a letdown. Somehow I think the buildup is so big that it would be a letdown. a couple girls in my apartment who are into each other sounds like a better deal. Of course newbies might have a hard time pulling that off so maybe eden is the better choice for the FOB who wants something special.

I visited Eden last year with a friend of mine. I found the bartender a little bit pushy, trying to force us to make a quick choice. Anyway I picked a nice looking girl, who in her turn picked a not so nice looking friend. Upstairs we arrived in a clean room and the ugly one came over to me in the shower to clean my body. Afterwards we joined the good-looking one on the bed and the fun started. The sex wasn’t bad but I found it rather disapointing that the girls didn’t interact. When one was playing with me, the other waited by the sideline. When I came downstairs after one hour and a half, I learned from my friend that he got exactly the same routine. And I must say that the girls didn’t stop talking for most the time.

I can’t really see the appeal then but I guess for newbies wanting that all elusive 3some then maybe Eden is it but I must say the 3somes I have been able to cobble together at home sound more fun.
I the only time I am going to eden is when the 2-3 girls I know who likes girls are willing to go with me. Then we get 2 more girls to make it a 4some but I make sure the true lesbian ensures all the girls get busy. I have heard this is a good way to do it and you would be surprised how many girls are curious as to what goes on in Eden.

I’ve been going to Thailand twice a year since 1991 and I still haven’t met that girl who likes girls and wants a 3some. Maybe I’ve been going to the wrong places. If I ever do find her I might take her to Eden. Anyway I understand your point that it’s more fun at home.

Did Eden in the summer and found it too mechanical for me.
The women were OK and put on a reasonable show.
But I won’t be going back.
I’m curious about these Japanese women who pay for sex.
Has anyone hung out in these bars they go to and been approached?
Or are these bars off limits to farang males. Or do they think the farang males are looking for a guys too?

jc – new shake on ratchada is one of these places but I have never been. From what I know they also do not allow random farang to walk in. I need to do more research on this.

Shake 77, which was CEO up until around March 08, is on the ground floor of Meechai Mansion apartment building #1. It is right between Soi 3 and Asoke Dindaeng Rd.
Lived there for 8 months, and never saw Japanese gals going there. It’s all wannbe hi-so thai girls that want to hang with tv star looking thai guys. Used to play snooker with some of the guys in the snooker lounge on the other side of the parking lot, they were pretty cool. Everyone else use to crack jokes about them dancing over at CEO/Shake.
Anyway, no reason for a guy to go there because you won’t get in without a lady. My gf wanted to check it out, and they said if I wanted to go in with her it would be 600 baht to get in and some rediculous price for the drinks. I was interested.
All of the girls going in there are early 20′s and way hotter than anything you see in any P4P scene around Thailand. These are like the crazy hot girls from Ratchada Soi 3 or RCA. I think the reason being that they are all mia noi’s for hi-so thai guys and spend lots of their allowance on boyfriends from this place. They drive up in their new cars, and are dressed to kill. A typical farang will NEVER EVER have a shot with these girls, so don’t bother. If you are looking girls like these, you can find them at the discos catering to the young thai crowds hanging, usuallu hanging out in large groups drinking bottles of black label (or more likely some fake crap from laos).

Eden Club is a lot of hype, not to mention the talent pool in that place is thiner than an anorexic on a phenfen binge. As a poster said earlier..the hotter the gal you pick (although, and I cant stress this enough, she wont be hot) the more likely she is to pick an uglier accomplice.
Make sure you pick the tow YOU like and make sure they need to work for the money.
On a positive note, there is usually a spliff in the room when finished…or you can just ask the French guy.
