Pattaya alive and kicking…

Yes there are a bunch of troops in Pattaya right now but I hardly noticed them so clearly slow season is upon us since if it were busy and troops were in town you would have really noticed the extra bodies. If you are a bar owner, slow season is not good but if you are out to party then it generally means more girls, better service and your pick of venues. I only had one free night but I figured I would pop on down and make sure things were happening.

I stopped into Blue Parrot for my Margarita and Deluxe Nachos – beef of course. Then met up with a buddy to plan our attack on Sin City.

First stop was one of the daytime go go bars right across from the Blue Parrot. I think the name was Crystals but don’t quote me on it but if you know where the Blue Parrot is then when you leave the Parrot just look for a go go bar that has these giant outside water tubes filled with shiny stuff floating around in them. So gaudy but yet u can’t miss it. As far as daytime go go bars go there are not many that I can say are worth seeing. There are a few on 13/2 but I generally find the quality of girls to be prety low and in some cases I wish the girls would stop dancing naked. Let’s face it – some things are better left seen in the dark or not at all. Sometimes a little left to the imgaination would be much better. Anyway – Crystals was not too bad as daytime goodness goes. There were more than a few sexy girls, service was good and the music was okay too. Not too loud and the girls were actually dancing. I wish this place had some R&R rooms upstairs but it does not. I like this feature in daytime go go bars. Very convenient. I was a little confused by the bar fine rates at this place since it seems that there is a difference between daytime and nightime rates but they sounded high to me – 600 for daytime and 1000 for nightime bar fine. I can’t exactly say it would be worth it. I will get to this later but my friends and I have a formula to sort this out: H to OH ratio. Stay tuned.

After this I headed over to Lolita’s since I had never checked it out before – in Pattaya that is. I am aware that Bangkok has a Lolitas(I read about it here – on the internet) but I had never been to the one in Pattaya. Once I found it I stopped outside hesitating for a minute deciding whether or not I should go in. Usually I like to pick my own girls but I always find that one picks me when I enter a Lolitas and I am too nice to say go away so I can pick the one that appeals to me. This technique may not always pay off at Lolitas anyway since looks has little to do with the service quality. Most of the time I close my eyes – I mean most of time my friends tell me they close there eyes. Well – shit. The real reason I could not go in was that just as I was walking in my phone rang and I glanced at the caller ID to deduce that my Mom was keeping to her once a week international phone call schedule. 15 minutes later – Mom out of things to talk about – I decided to change plans and head to my hotel for a shower. I just felt too dirty knowing I was talking to my Mom while standing outside Lolitas comtemplating which girl was going to service me. I need therapy.

First spot was Club Boesche. Man alive. Wrote about this spot before and nothing has changed really but this time we took a seat on the couches right in front of the hot tub. The hot tub was full of 3, very clean, thai girls. None of them were stunners but they were cute, totally naked and playing games. Hide the fingers and hide the tongue were two of my favorites. I have seen some sexy shows before but this takes the cake. Loved it. The show forced my buddy to bar fine two of the hottubbies for take out. I had to help him sort it out. Thank goodness for the Thai lessons.

New spot. On walking street is a new bar called the Roof Pattaya. BTW – the website needs some work – seriously. This type of bar appears to be a trend in Pattaya and Bangkok and I have a few theories as to why. The Roof is very similar to Casino on Soi Diamond which I am a big fan of but I think Casino is still a little better at this point. Like Casino, the Roof is more of a club with dance music but also has some sexy girls dancing on podiums throughout the club. Right off my first comment would be for them to add more dancing girls. On the first floor, the techno room(great DJ) – there were only 3 dancing girls. One of which is in the window facing walking street for the people walking by to stop and ogle. Boy did they. So counting this girl out there are only 2 girls to look at on the first floor. Hardly enough. Second floor was a Hip-Hop room and I am burnt out right now on Hip Hop so I did not check it out but first glance shows the same format. NOT enough dancing girls. However I do like these type of formats and I think if they just added more sexy girls they could appeal to the target audience which clearly is not just punters. There are a lot of asians, eastern europeans visiting Pattaya and a lot of people go out as a couple. These type of clubs are fun for everyone for the most part and as Pattaya will attract more people due to the new airport – I think these types of places (Casino,Roof) will find their niche since not everyone wants a beer bar or go go. I am not sure if these girls have bar fines but I did see guys buying drinks and once again I thought the quality of these girls compared to the go go bars was a little higher but not sure on the H to OH ratio. Will explain soon.

VIP bar. This is right next to Polo on the second floor off of Walking Street. You will find this place by looking for the second floor glass enclosure that has random euro white girls dancing on a pole. I went into Polo one time. Looked at the girls and the drink prices and walked out. Also checked the bar fines which if I remember were off the charts so I am assuming the H to OH ratio is low. Meaning. I don’t think there is much difference in the sack when it comes to higher bar fines. What u want is a good ratio of head to overhead. Got it? Anyway. Look for Polo. Walk up the stairs but go straight into VIP. A rather large and badly laid out go go bar full of Asians, but this time I found the shows to be pretty fun, mostly nude(by the end) and the quality of girls to be much higher than I remember. The normal lineup was not bad at all and there were a lot of see through outfits which I am a big fan of. Anyway. The service is okay but the seats, tables and layout is just terrible at this bar and I wish they would deal with it. However the girls looked good and the shows were cool.

Lucifer 1. On walking street. I wrote about this before. Get into Lucifer around 10 pm and get settled somewhere towards the back. Then u can look out over the floor and watch the girls come in. From 10-1am a steady stream of women pack the club out and they are all looking to pull. Happy hunting. Skip the front room. Don’t forget. Also. The thai girl in the band is just delicious. She is beautiful, has a great body, dresses cool and can really belt it out. Could be love.

Pattaya felt a little subdued to me though and was not open as late as it normally was. I have a theory on this. Many people think that Pattaya has some official close time of 3am but it does not. In fact even places like Soi Cowboy and Nana staying open until 2 am is not official but tolerated since the police are making some money on it. Most of this lateness happened around the time the government was experiencing some politcal upheaval and the police were taking advantage of a goverment more focused on street riots and the economy. So the police were taking advantage of this and basically letting anyone do whatever they wanted as long as they were getting paid for it. Well. Thaksin is back for now and it appears that the Police are somewhat back in check. Just notice over the last week how Nana is back to mostly closing at one but sometimes at 1:30 or 2. I really wish they would pick an official close time across the country and enforce it evenly. Would be better for businesses, tourists, locals and employees.

carry on – nothing to see here…
