Pre-Announce :: iParty on May 28th

To celebrate absolutely nothing whatsoever – The Big Mango Bar will be having an iParty on May 28th.
A raffle will be held on the night for an iPad and an iPod Touch.
There was also be a 10k baht donation to a local charity if the bell is rung 10 times!

BTW finally made over to see all the improvements! Well done boys! Place looks great, used the new smoking area and enjoyed a compfy chair and wall fan while watching the tube as I knocked another 30 min. off my life! Got a bottle of jimBeam and was verry pleased with thesweet little service doll that tended to me and mine for the stay. Shot some shit pool upstairs on a freshly cleaned table while my party and I had some food and continued to put 2-3oz dents in the bottle. Got abit loose and sloppy and all the attending staff were great! Also nice touch on putting a proper roof on the upstairs patio and ditching those fucking soggy ass bar stools that would never quite dry off! The comanding view of the never ending freakshow dribbling in and out of the shortime hotel was a blast!
may want to consider a live video feed on that place?
all and all nice work guys and hope to see some of the old guard lounging around for the next 2.5 weeks?

Sorry, it’s the ‘Original’. The iPad2 prize will be at the iParty2
FYI.. It’s the iPad (original) 16gb wifi. Second prize is an iPod Touch 8gb.
Both new, in the box – fresh from Heathrow Airport 24 hours before the party.
Still ironing out the details.. but basically it will involve the purchase of some nasty-ass shot. You will then be given a ticket/number.
Tickets will be pulled out of a hat between 10:30-11:30 and the winner will have 5 mins to collect their prize. (as they might be throwing up or smoking)
If after 5 mins the winner doesn’t claim their prize, another ticket will be drawn.
Tickets will be limited to cover the cost of the iPad/iPod only. There will be no profit making on this.
At this moment in time, the drinks (tickets) will be 200bht each. You can buy as many as you want. – but tickets will be limited to 100.
For those of you who have just done the math, yes, you could buy 100 and get the items cheaper than you could buy them in the store. However, you’ll only get a ticket in exchange for an empty shot glass that has been downed (not thrown)
Also, as we are in such a good mood these days… I will be donating 10k to charity if the bell is rung 10 times (drinks for the staff).

Really, the old ipad? A 16gb ipad2 wifi costs 15,900B in Thailand. Since your not wanting to make a profit on the prize maybe it could be an option.

The items both together come to more than 20k. We will only recoup 20k and the remainder will come from my pocket. As will the 10k charity donation (if the bell is rung 10 times)
But like I said, if the party goes well and enough interest is shown then the iPad2 will appear at the iParty2.

Incase you are wondering.. the bell ringing…. well, we don’t want the staff getting too drunk as we don’t have too many. (not more than 10) So, this will be limited to the Mango Nipple shot. These are the cheapest shots on sale. 40bht each.
As for the charity, something that is close to my heart – ‘Help for Heros’ is my 1st nomination, but I am told that one of our customers is involved with a local Childrens charity also, so if I get the details before the party then this charity will come 1st. If not, the second party!
